We are now AFRY Architects

January 2026 marks a new chapter for Gottlieb Paludan Architects. The company has changed its name and is now part of AFRY Architects.

We have been part of AFRY since 2018, operating under our own name. We are now joining forces with AFRY’s other architectural and design brands across the Nordics as AFRY Architects – a collective of around 500 architects and designers. From this strengthened platform, we continue to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients in the Nordics and internationally.

All ongoing projects and collaborations continue as usual. Gottlieb Paludan Architects now operates under the name AFRY Architects, with the same project managers and teams you know as your regular points of contact. Our core commitment to insight-based, robust and high-quality solutions remains unchanged.

Through this integration, we have expanded our offering by joining forces with sandellsandberg, Koncept, Efterklang, Light Bureau and AFRY Ark Studio. As AFRY Architects, we now provide an even broader range of services – from architecture and urban development to landscape, interior and workplace design, product and industrial design, lighting design, and acoustic and sound design.

We are confident that this development strengthens our shared opportunities, and we look forward to continuing our good and fruitful collaboration.

blrm Architekt*innen and Gottlieb Paludan Architects have together won the design competition for a new station on the future Ubahn line U5 in Hamburg. The design is based on the further development and expansion of an existing underground station at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, where the existing qualities are preserved and emphasised through the addition of simple elements.

Designed by Gottlieb Paludan Architects and Schmidt Hammer Lassen, the Shenzhen Energy Ring marks an innovative approach to waste management. With its distinctive, circular shape and a 1.1-kilometre public roof path, the facility is both a high-performing energy facility and a destination for learning and experiences.

Copenhagen Central Station is being modernised and future-proofed

A team of consultants led by Artelia and Gottlieb Paludan Architects has been commissioned to modernise Copenhagen Central Station to prepare it for increasing passenger numbers. The project will create greater safety and better accessibility for travellers, which is why the station hall will be transformed to make it more manageable and the historic architecture more visible.
