Strategic Establishment project for the Danish Army
Høvelte, Antvorskov, Skive, Holstebro, Oksbøl, Denmark
In conjunction with a general modernization of the Danish Army’s Personnel and Materiel Facilities, new barracks were due to be erected within the existing establishments at Høvelte, Antvorskov, Skive, Holstebro and Oksbøl.
As architectural consultant, Gottlieb Paludan Architects is responsible for the design, architectural supervision, and project follow-up of 6 new barracks buildings of around 3,374 m2 floor area.
The new barracks buildings are based on a standard garage that is individually adapted to each location. The new construction at a single barracks will typically include staff facilities such as offices and welfare facilities for approximately 26 men per location, as well as facilities for equipment, including a garage with space for 16 large vehicles.

BIM design with a focus on economy, operations and safety in barracks areas
The projects fit in with existing buildings and facilities in the barracks areas. The BIM design is carried out with a strong focus on compliance with a tight construction economy, as well as operation in the form of building solutions and materials that ensure low maintenance.
