As side event partners at the UIA World Congress of Architecture, we invite you to meet the architects and the client behind Copenhagen’s new award-winning power plant and experience the equally acclaimed lighting design, bringing the plant’s spectacular tree trunk-facade to life after dark.

The walk inside the curtain of tree trunks is dotted by stops at large bay windows, offering a look inside the power plant interior and the energy production. Between sunset and midnight, a light installation illuminates the façade, adding a new layer of calmly moving patterns, inspired by natural structures like leaves or waves.

blrm Architekt*innen and Gottlieb Paludan Architects have together won the design competition for a new station on the future Ubahn line U5 in Hamburg. The design is based on the further development and expansion of an existing underground station at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, where the existing qualities are preserved and emphasised through the addition of simple elements.

Copenhagen Central Station is being modernised and future-proofed

A team of consultants led by Artelia and Gottlieb Paludan Architects has been commissioned to modernise Copenhagen Central Station to prepare it for increasing passenger numbers. The project will create greater safety and better accessibility for travellers, which is why the station hall will be transformed to make it more manageable and the historic architecture more visible.
