Everyone should be able to move through our shared public spaces and buildings in a safe and dignified way. In complex environments such as stations, terminals, and other public transport hubs, universal design is not just a feature – it’s a fundamental design principle that ensures equal access and high functionality for all, regardless of physical or cognitive ability.

Sluseholmen Station
Copenhagen, Denmark
Gottlieb Paludan Architects developed and designed the five underground metro stations on the Sydhavn line. The latest knowledge about behaviour and technology has been incorporated into the station design.
Sluseholmen Station is located in the heart of one of Copenhagen's most architecturally unique residential areas, where canals and bridge neighbourhoods create a special atmosphere. The station's design is inspired by the area's balance between urban environments and the surrounding nature.
